Thou Art God Alone

Psalm 86:10 is one of my favorite verses. I love it because it reminds me that my God is all-powerful. It also reminds me that while He does wonderful things, He’s never too busy to listen to me.

What’s your favorite verse?

Philippians 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Especially now, God is making that verse very real to me.

I chose Hebrews 12:1-3 as my passage for the year 2013.
“Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”

How pretty! There are several passages the Lord has used in my life this year, but one that really stood out for me this summer was I Timothy 4:12 “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” I know that while I’ve fallen so short of being *perfect* like our standard, Christ, He can still use me and I will continue to praise Him!

I know this is an older post, but I wanted to share a verse with you that’s been a blessing to me. I have many favorites, and depending on the day it may change:) But, one I have been meditating on for weeks is Psalm 61:2, which says, “From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

By the way, the picture is beautiful:)
