Cloak of the Light | Book Review

Captivating! Intriguing! Suspenseful! Cloak of the Light by Chuck Black caught my attention from the very beginning. I’ve enjoyed reading several of his books, so when I saw this book available for review, I jumped at the opportunity.

Drew’s father, a Special Forces soldier, dies when Drew is just a young boy. His father’s friend, Jake, a fellow Special Forces solder, takes Drew under his wing and trains Drew in various survival skills. These skills will save Drew’s life, and the lives of others, when Drew faced with danger and “dark invaders”.

As an unbeliever, Drew struggles with the thought that God exists. Why is life so unfair? Why does tragedy happen to good people? This novel about spiritual warfare will fascinate you from the first page. Similar to Frank Peretti’s This Present Darkness, Chuck Black writes a riveting story that will leave you wanting to read the sequel. If you enjoy mysteries, you’ll love this book!

Disclaimer: Blogging for Books sent this book to me in exchange for my honest and thoughtful review.
